This week’s win – know your meeting procedure to help your meetings go more smoothly

In some states and territories, strata managers are not allowed to chair meetings.

In others they may be able to (with the approval of the meeting), but only if the chairperson is not in attendance. In some locations, the strata manager may chair the meeting if given delegated power to do so.

Whatever the situation is in your location, you will either chair the meeting or be so involved in assisting and advising the chairperson that it’s essential for you to have a good working knowledge of basic meeting procedures.
